Wine: If looking for a smooth, elegant Spanish wine with a punch then no need to look further. Protos Reserva is a true Spanish classic in every sense of the word – a classic wine created by a classic Spanish winery. A well-balanced wine with body, depth, and character. Strong aromas of black fruits with spice and creamy oak. On the palate, it is powerful, flavorful, toasty, fruity and spicy, with round tannins and good acidity then followed by a lingering smooth finish.
About Winery: Protos, which means “first” in Greek, was founded in 1927. Several years later in 1982, it allowed its brand “RIBERA DE DUERO” to be used to establish the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin. “Protos literally and figuratively put Ribera del Duero on the map.” Today Protos is the oldest winery in the Ribera del Duero.
