The indigenous Monastrell is the dominant grape along with a mix of local and French varieties which are aged in oak barrels for structure and roundness. On the nose Les Alcusses is full of fruits and aromatic herbs. While on the palate, it is rich and ripe with a fresh character.
About Winery: Aside from producing award-wining wines, we also love Celler del Roure’s passion and desire to embrace the past. Their motto “The past is our future” sums it up best.
Celler del Roure was established in 1996 as a small family winery, and their mission was and still is to produce quality wines with a unique personality. Celler del Roure, located in the village, Moixant (Terres dels Alforis, DO Valencia, Spain), is located 600 meters above sea level. The terroir consists of calcareous clay and sandy soil. The vine age ranges from 15 to 70 years old.
