Lolo Albariño 2019
Paco & Lola Winery: Paco & Lola
Denomination of Origin: Rias Baixas, Salnés Valley
Varietal: 100% Albariño
Format: 750ML, White Wine
Wine: Think Spain is only known for its red wines? Well, think again. Albariño is Spain’s most internationally acclaimed white wine. It has been touted as one of the best wines for seafood and has a stellar reputation for its consistency. And the home for this celeb grape is Rias Biaxas, located in the Galicia region in the northwest of Spain. (Hey, did you know 99% of all wine produced in Rias Baixas is white?)
Lolo is proof you don't need to spend a fortune to have a world class wine. This wine is produced in Salnés Valley, the most famous region within Rias Baixas. The region runs along the Atlantic coast providing the minerality, saltiness, and crispness well appreciated in a white wine. It is a medium bodied white that has an unmistakable citrus flavor with a zing. It’s admired for its good natural acidity, dry taste, refreshing citrus flavours and subtle saltiness. It is a superb accompaniment for seafood, shellfish, vegetables, or on its own.
About Winery: Paco & Lola was founded in 2005 when a group of independent winegrowers from Salnés Valley (Val do Salnés) partnered together to take their production to a professional level. In a relatively short period of time they have become a Spanish favorite for their Albariño.
