About Winery:  Aside from producing award-wining wines, we also love Celler del Roure’s passion and desire to embrace the past.  Their motto “The past is our future” sums it up best. Maduresa is part of Celler del Roure’s “Classical” range and in English translates to “ripeness”.  Their “Classical” wines rely upon the Monastrell grape, the predominant grape in DO Valencia, and use traditional wine making methods such as aging wine in oak barrels.  (While their “Ancient” wine range rely upon local non dominant grape varietals, and the wine is aged in terracotta amphorae dating back to the 17thcentury)

Celler del Roure was established in 1996 as a small family winery, and their mission was and still is to produce quality wines with a unique personality.  Celler del Roure, located in the village, Moixant (Terres dels Alforis, DO Valencia, Spain), is located 600 meters above sea level. The terroir consists of calcareous clay and sandy soil. The vine age ranges from 15 to 70 years old.
